About Me

Hi, I'm Tenzin Jigtel — a driven and curious young professional who started out on the shop floor and is now aiming to step into the engine room of how great businesses operate.

Over the past few years, I've worked across fast-paced retail environments, including nearly three years at ALDI, where I’ve built a strong foundation in efficiency, responsibility, and teamwork.

While working nearly full-time, I’ve also been studying for a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Swinburne University (online). My studies, paired with my in-store experience, have sparked a real passion for how products move, how data informs better decisions, and how good systems create great outcomes.

Outside of work and study, I’ve consulted for ecommerce brands across Australia and the UK — helping them with product research, pricing, sourcing, and strategy. I’m highly data-driven and deeply focused on competitive market and competitor analysis. It’s one of the core strengths I bring — understanding where products fit, how pricing strategies should be shaped, and how decision-making can be supported through clear insights.

Now, I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned — from the store floor to ecommerce to the classroom — and bring it into a role where I can keep learning, contribute to a bigger team, and grow inside ALDI.

  • ALDI Store Assistant (Jul 2023 – Present)

Working in a fast-paced ALDI store has taught me the importance of consistency, focus, and operational excellence. I’ve supported my team through busy periods, handled deliveries, maintained merchandising standards, and contributed to store-level efficiency.

Every day has sharpened my understanding of ALDI’s high-performance culture, and given me a real appreciation for how processes, structure, and teamwork drive success.

  • Freelance Ecommerce Consultant (2022 – 2024)

As a consultant, I supported Australian and UK-based brands with product research, supplier negotiation, and pricing strategies. Working with brands like Norfolk Wild, I helped source innovative products, reduce costs, and provide insights to improve positioning and profitability.

My focus has always been on data-backed decision-making, particularly competitive market and competitor analysis. These experiences sharpened my commercial thinking and taught me how to spot opportunities through research.

  • Work Placement – Packforce (2024)

During my university work placement, I had the opportunity to work with Packforce — a 3PL logistics business. I was responsible for tracking and recording operational data using Excel, monitoring incoming and outgoing stock, and supporting internal process coordination. This experience helped me understand the back-end operations of supply chains, sharpen my attention to detail, and improve my practical skills in data entry, logistics tracking, and workflow efficiency within a warehousing and fulfilment environment.

  • I’ve been part of ALDI’s store operations and have seen firsthand what works. Now, I’m ready to take that insight and contribute to a team where planning, data, coordination, and innovation come together to make things better. I’m reliable, adaptable, and eager to grow within the National Buying team.

Proven time management and self-discipline, currently working while studying online.

  • With a solid background in competitive market research, I know how to spot trends, optimise sourcing, and support smarter business decisions. I’m curious, always learning, and ready to contribute to a team where planning, insight, and innovation come together to make things better.

🛤️ My Journey in ALDI

When I first joined ALDI at 19 years old as a Store Assistant at the Dee Why store, I was nervous. I didn’t know what to expect — especially when it came to working closely with a new team and serving customers. But I stayed focused, asked questions, and kept an open mind.

Over time, I built real confidence. I learned how to work under pressure, how to support others, and how to build strong relationships — with my team, my managers, and the customers I saw every day. After one year at Dee Why, I transferred to the ALDI store in Toukley, where I continued to grow and learn even more.

Throughout my journey, I’ve always been someone who listens to feedback and takes it seriously. I constantly look for ways to improve and support others, whether that’s helping new team members settle in or stepping up when things get busy. ALDI has shaped how I work and who I am — it’s given me structure, purpose, and the kind of daily challenges that make you better.

This journey has made me realise how much I enjoy working in a high-performance environment where learning never stops. It’s helped me develop discipline, reliability, and a deep appreciation for the team effort behind every store’s success. It’s where I learned what performance really means, how to stay sharp under pressure, and how important it is to take pride in your work, no matter the role.

My Vision

I want to keep growing inside ALDI — not just because it’s a stable company, but because I believe in how it operates. I see myself moving from store-level execution into supporting projects, contributing to smarter supply systems, and eventually helping lead teams that shape ALDI’s operations across the country.

This Project Assistant role is the next step, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.
